"Stable Base Pilates individually tailored workouts have completely transformed my body shape, posture and core strength in only a year of once-a-week sessions. I am amazed at how effectively Greg has planned the Pilates program details, always taking into account my week’s activities and body condition. Both my husband and I wish I had discovered Stable Base many years ago. Sandra 42, housewife, Hawthorn

STABLE BASE offers Pilates classes in small groups allowing personalised exercise prescription and supervision. There is a maximum of 4 clients per session. We specialise in teaching you exercises specific to your needs to ensure you get the most from your training. Pilates based workouts are designed to improve imbalances in the muscular system reducing injuries and increasing strength, flexibility and stamina. While adhering to the ideals of Joseph Pilates (1880-1967) we incorporate current understanding of training, anatomy, human movement and functional restoration.

In the STABLE BASE studio you will work on custom made Pilates equipment including the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Wunda Chair and Barrel.

Where appropriate we also incorporate equipment not found in other pilates studios enabling us to challenge you with movements more functional in nature than traditional pilates exercises.

Pilates instructors at STABLE BASE have nationally recognised qualifications in Pilates and other fields of exercise together with experience in assisting people of various ages and fitness levels.

Studio Pilates Introductory Class
Clients who have never experienced a Pilates class are taken through a one-on-one introduction that is aimed at discovering your goals and needs and explaining the fundamentals principles behind the Pilates Method.

In the session, basic anatomy as it relates to core stability will be explained. You will be introduced to a few pre-Pilates exercises aimed at building your postural awareness, developing a consciousness of how you move and teaching you to activate your deep abdominal and pelvic floor muscles.

The introductory class runs for seventy-five minutes.

"Experience really counts in Pilates and your blend of experience and knowledge gained from this industry and other related industries give you an edge which is hard to beat."

Fiona 55, yoga instructor, Camberwell
